Typically they do. Shoes - obviously - are too large an item to
be posted through a letter box: therefore, you will need someone
at home to receive the goods. Some couriers - such as the Home Delivery
Network - may attempt to leave the parcel with a neighbour, who
will be required to sign for the goods. In such a circumstance,
the courier would post a card in your letter box informing you of
the neighbour they have left the parcel with. Order shipped outside
of the UK - to Eire, Europe, Canada, United States of America etc
- will also require a signature upon receipt of the parcel.
