That would be entirely dependent upon the manufacturer. However,
when it comes to the manufacturer of work shoes/boots/footwear -
such as Caterpillar - then some of thier outsole's are resistant
to 300 degrees. Caterpillar make their outsole's from a durable
rubber compound, whereas outsole's can also be made from other materials
such as leather, canvas, plastics and fabrics. Some of these other
materials will have a much lower resistance to heat than Caterpillar
rubber will have. It's hard to estimate an exact figure, but plastic
and rubber will probably provide a more effective barrier to high
heats than leather and fabrics.
