The primary advantage of cream's is that they are capable permeating
and moisturising leather shoes. Although it is debatable, there
is a general belief that cream's have a wider selection of colours,
and therefore you find a closer match with your coloured leather,
in comparison with wax polish products. The drawback with creams
is that they do not polish the leather to the same degree as a wax
polish. Ideally a combination of the two products is desirable:
as the cream will protect, enhance and increase the longevity of
the leather; whereas the wax polish will keep them shined like new.
When applying a cream, it is advisable to let them soak into the
leather - preferable with the laces removed - before polishing.
