  Q: What year was the Nike Dunk High 08 released?

The Nike Dunk High was released in 1985; for those of you who are not familiar with US sports or sports in general, the Dunk High is a sneaker designed for Basketball. Although I am not positive, I believe that the '08' refers to eight college's in the US who played Basketball in colour coordinated High Dunk's.

Up until that point, college's did not colour coordinate their outfits and sneakers. It was somewhat of a style revolution for college sport: whose generally dour outfits were enlivened by the vivid colours of the Dunk High.

The Dunk High was produced with a leather upper and a rubber outsole for grip. Traditionally, the Dunk High was colour coordinated with white; such as white/red, white/blue, white/yellow, white/green; although some versions are colour coordinated with black; such as black/red, black/blue.
