Basketball is possible the most fierce sports when it comes to
impact upon feet and ankles. A basketball shoe / ankle length shoe
/ boot, should not be too tight fitting or too loose that it slips.
There should be 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch of space between your big toe
and the end of the shoe. Likewise the ankle support should provide
enough room for movement, but not so much the heel will slip. If
a basketball shoe is too tight the impact upon the big toe and ankle
will be harsh, due to the amount of jumping and the quick changes
of direction.
